About this game

Build a blue brigade on a coastal runway. Steer through number gates, shoot weapon crates and dodge a giant robot's attacks in this original 3D army runner with 12 sectors.

How to play

Select Deploy Squad, then hold and drag left or right to steer, or use Left/Right arrows or A/D. Your squad shoots automatically. Bullets increase additive gate values; pass through a gate to add, subtract or multiply your troops, up to 72. Shoot gold crates to unlock rapid fire and heavy rounds. Avoid robots and the boss's marked attack lane. Defeat the boss to unlock the next sector; losing every troop ends the run. Use P, Escape or Pause to pause and restart. Completed sectors and best stars save in this browser; unfinished runs do not.

Read the gate before you commit

You begin each sector with five troops. Additive gates gain one point per five bullet hits, so aiming at one early can improve its reward or reduce its penalty. The multiplication gate doubles your current squad. The maximum squad size is 72.

Upgrade, then dodge the boss

Shooting a gold crate until it breaks upgrades the whole squad. Rapid fire shortens the firing interval; heavy rounds also increase damage. During the boss encounter, move away from the red marked lane before the incoming shots arrive, then return to an angle where your bullets hit the robot.

Bring troops home for more stars

Defeating a boss earns one star. Finish with at least 12 troops for two stars, or at least 30 for three. Replaying an unlocked sector can improve its saved rating. Higher sectors have tougher enemies and bosses.

Questions about Gate Brigade

Does Gate Brigade save an unfinished run?

No. It saves unlocked sectors and your best star rating per sector on this browser only. Reloading starts a fresh run. Clearing the site's browser data also clears this progress.

Do I need to click to fire?

No. Firing is automatic after deployment. Use your mouse, touch or keyboard to steer the squad toward gates, crates and targets.
